Well, I have been maintaining my old website with an OS X only application called RapidWeaver which is an amazing and powerful website development tool. However being a Windows user primarily, it became a hassle to always get my MacBook out, or launch an OS X virtual machine just to fix a typo or upload new content. I also hated, and thus never used the blogging feature of RapidWeaver. The old version of my website can be seen below. It was simple, but got the job done… I’ve just been longing for something more.
That site is long gone now! I’ve moved forward to a much more dynamic and content oriented version 2.0. I’ve already laid the groundwork for the new version (in fact it’s live right now, just not finished). I’ve moved entirely away from a platform dependent website, and installed WordPress and activated the Network feature so other family members can have their own unique websites all from the same WordPress installation. I’m finishing up the drop page for that over the next few days, and will update this site to contain all the data from my old site, as well as add new content.
I might suggest LiveWriter, under Windows.
